Meet David Bruen

David was born and raised in Rockland County, educated in Clarkstown public schools, and is a proud Eagle Scout. At 16, he started in government and politics as an intern for Senator David Carlucci and Congresswoman Nita Lowey. Since then he’s served as Treasurer for the Clarkstown and Rockland Democratic committees. From 2021 to 2023, David served as Student Body President of Syracuse University, the first to serve two terms. David believes Rockland needs a new generation of leadership to bring new ideas and fresh energy to advance accountability in local government.
